E3 is an odd event. There’s so much hype and hoopla that feeds off of itself that it can be sickening, but it’s vital and necessary to the game industry. It’s certainly something I wouldn’t want to go without. Underneath that crazy mashup of press conferences, booth babes, business deals, career changes, and awesome after parties, there are a group of interesting people that might be described by some as “normal”.

While sitting outside of the convention center, I noticed everyone turning the volume down and returning to Earth for a brief moment. It was somewhat surreal considering what E3 is usually like, so I decided to capture what I saw as simply people existing outside.
