Podcast 24 – Gaming With Virtual Feelings

In this podcast, Maggie aka Luperza aka @PurrfectStorm aka Crazy-Cool Gamer Girl is the featured guest. Valentine’s Day is discussed. Maggie also tells about her path into the video game industry even though she was studying to enter the medical field. She has also maintained a relationship with another gamer for nine years without either of them getting choked out with a controller cord. It gets philosophical, and a few topics are discussed. This podcast clocks in at about 2 hours. It was pretty good that way.

So very strange hearing myself talk. Was great chatting with you Benja! We’ll have to do it again sometime.

Also, love how you cut it at the ending. =P

    Enjoyed this :)
The usual ‘girl gamer questions’ made me chuckle.

    • Luperza says:

Glad they made you chuckle. Benja would’ve gotten stabbed a bit more if we were doing this IRL. >___< Say it with me men, "GAAMER". NOT "Gamer girl" or "Female gamer" or "Gamer women" or anything that says, "Hey…I have a vagina" in it. =] Just simply…"Gamer".

*WINNING* /Going on no sleep. Insomnia kicking in. Don't mind me.

  • Mr Benja says:

This was a fun one to record. You are welcome back anytime you have something to say. Even if it sounds strange to you. And you must have some effect on me, because I almost used that stupid colon-pee thing.

“Gamers who slay together, stay together!” nice, I played wow with my wife for a while, it was great, we are looking forward to Diablo 3.

    • Luperza says:

Glad you liked that. It seems like a lot of people have not heard that before! What the bacon buckets!?

Also! Heck yeah, Diablo III! My friends and I are pumped. Can’t wait to play it. Been doing the Beta dealio, but haven’t had much time to actually play it. O__O One of these days, I’ll have all the time in the world to play all the games…When I’m really old and fat. Some day… =P <— ( For Mr. Benja)

  • The Flipsider says:

wait… so you aren’t the Mr. Benja from France?!?!?!?!

i’ve been following the wrong guy all this time? :P

regarding men and their need to do stupid, but cool, things… Men definitely don’t have a monopoly on that cuz women are definitely prone to doing cool but stupid things. but i will say more men (in terms of sheer numbers), in general, definitely have the greater propensity to do stupid, cool things than the number of women. in short, most guys are dumb :P

and i generally don’t use :P as much as others (mainly because it doesn’t fit my personality) but hearing how Ben doesn’t quite dig on them, i’m gonna use them quite a bit when communicating with him now… :P

    great podcast! :) :P

In regards to the off handed comments you find on stream, it not as much a an opposite sex thing as its just a asshole atmosphere. Stream monsters are the worst kind of folks and I’m sure I’ve took party to some of it. When it comes down to it, its just a bunch of shit talking amongst ages of who knows young children to adults so your not going to find any love there.
