Ernest Cline’s “Ready Player One”

Whenever possible, if there is a story available in book form, I will try to listen to the audiobooks, watch the movie, or wait for the made for tv adaptation. “Ready Player One” is a bit different though. It’s been called “Willy Wonka” meets “The Matrix” by USA Today. Basically, it’s the future, and everybody escapes their terrible lives by engaging in this uber-MMO called OASIS that was built by this guy obsessed with video games and pop culture. When the develeoper dies, he leaves a contest in his will to all players of the game that will award the winner with his fortune. Madness ensues.

Dude is the real deal. He owns a DeLorean.

You can get it now from Amazon.
It’s a good read and highly recommended for anyone that can relate to anything on this website.
