Invader Invades Your Space In San Diego
The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego just hosted a big urban art show called Viva La Revelucion, and French artist Invader was featured along with Banksy, Swoon, Shepard Fairey, and a few others. Obviously, Invader is 8-Bit inspired, but did you catch the pun? He INVADES YOUR SPACE. Get it? It’s like the Space Invader game, but with your mind being assaulted. Damn that’s genius.

The map below shows an art walk where you can see cool crap along with a few other locations he’s bombed during his time in San Diego. Art walk just means you have to put down the chili cheese dog and get some exercise to the work on context of the location. So the art doesn’t actually walk, you do. There’s also a trailer for a documentary to go along with his pieces. Enjoy.

See. Everyone thought I was crazy when I started talking about 8-bit art being bigger than a fad, but now you get it. We have space aliens all up in the streets invading our gaslamps. That’s just how it is.
